Fujitsu—VR Shopping & Prototyping
I worked with Gaspard and the folks at Garou (NYC/Paris) to mock up and explore an immersive VR shopping experience for Fujitsu.
The goal was to provide users with an immersive and efficient way to browse and purchase products within a virtual environment, while ensuring that interactions feel natural and accessible.
To achieve this, I addressed several key challenges of designing UX for VR.
Taking into account user comfort and UI legibility, and worked towards creating a series of intuitive navigation controls and interaction patterns that could allow a user to effortlessly explore numerous virtual spaces, locate products within (and without, using maps), and navigate quickly between sections.
Also important was the shopping flow itself, for which a good number of prototypes were created until it felt right and as much friction as possible was removed. Prototyping played a big role in refining ideas—this iterative process helped identify areas for improvement and optimize the layout for better user ergonomics.
