First Steps—Early C4D, 2009

2009

Early adventures in Cinema 4D, playing with simple character rigging and camera movements within far and close environments.

This built upon a few areas of explorations within C4D, starting with the cloner for buildings and city blocks, learning to use the animation timeline, camera targeting and exporting passes for compositing in After Effects (most noticeable with the After Effects text box layer reflecting in the watch face).

This resulted in a game simulation where a user could explore, interact, and dive into various parts of a game. In this example a user is able to use an on-screen menu to switch from an aerial view (with city sounds) to the backseat of a car with its own sound, then further into the wristwatch of a driver to check the time.
