Lincoln—Motion Design & Animation
2009
One of my first projects working with Frame, a design agency in Copenhagen. This one involved a great number of shots that needed a blend of 3D animation and 2D motion design with transitional elements.
A lot of rotoscoping and compositing was involved, resulting in a colorful and visually interesting commercial spot for Lincoln.
An example of this is seen in the end shot of the car driving off. It's all 2D, which is noticeable in the car shadow on the ground, but passable with the added fake tire marks and bright colorful brake light streaks—an effect pretty popular in 2009.
Particles were added throughout to help give a sense of depth and movement in the shots.
Here are some excerpts.
